For three generations, Love and Son Nursery has been selling Carl Pool products. About 50 years ago, Ray Love, Sr., began the operation that is now owned and operated by Jimmy Patterson, Ray’s son-in-law. Ray Love, Jr., recalls the “good ol’ days” when Carl Pool, himself, would come by the store and sell products right out of his station wagon. Nowadays, Love and Son buy their Carl Pool products through BWI-Dallas.

Ever since those early days, Love and Son Nursery has stayed with Carl Pool. Bryan Bellinghaven, retail manager, says that during the 14 years he has worked at the nursery he has not heard of a single complaint about Carl Pool products. Bryan promotes these high quality products over Miracle Gro, Osmocote, and others that are associated with a wide retail base. He wants the nursery to be associated with excellent products, not “cheap junk.” Some customers drive in from Clovis, New Mexico, over 100 miles, just to buy Carl Pool fertilizers.

All of the nursery stock at Love and Son receives Carl Pool controlled-release 13-13-13. Customers always comment on how good the plants look, according to Bryan.

Jimmy Patterson uses Carl Pool Root Activator on all of his landscape projects, which eliminates transplant shock. He states that the Carl Pool line works so well that customers stay with it... not willing to change a good thing. This is especially significant in west Texas, where it takes good products to stand up to the sometimes severe and changeable climate.

Jimmy and Bryan agree that their reputation is on the line each time they recommend a product... and they never fail to recommend Carl Pool products. They know that if a customer sees good results he will return for more. That is why they have stayed with a winner all of these past years — Carl Pool!
